On the bus and off it, absent from the register, seen at the sick bay, signed out at the gate and back again, results released, a payment recorded, pocket money moving, reporting and closing day, and the date they agreed with your bursar — each one reaches the parent's phone as it happens, and opens on the exact page it is about. One notification per parent, however many children they have with you.

An amber dot marks the child something happened to, and the card it happened on, so a parent opening the app knows where to look. Times are shown on your school's clock, wherever in the world they are reading from.

Parents see their own child and nothing else — never a class list, never the bus manifest. Health and conduct records log who viewed them. A notification never carries a mark, a balance, a medical note or a conduct note: it shows on a locked screen, so it says only that there is something to open. Both you and the parent choose which kinds are sent.
